This image was created based on conversation with Haitian friends as well as trips to the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The White Snake, Danballa is an old form that repeated itself in the form of Danbi or Zombie, the albino snake kept by Marie Laveau, the New Orleans Queen of Voodoo.
The symbol is critical for balance, death and resurrection. It contains six-fold symmetry. -
